Alexandra Potter’s first novel, What’s New, Pussycat? was published in 2000 and immediately made the top ten bestseller lists. To date she’s written twelve novels including Me and Mr Darcy, which won Best New Fiction Award at the Jane Austen Regency World Awards, Love From Paris which was shortlisted for the RNA Comedy Award and her latest, Confessions of a Forty-something F##k Up.
Hailed by The Times as ‘Slickly written and often very funny’, her books have been translated into over twenty-five languages, sold over a million copies worldwide and been optioned by several major film companies.
Aside from novels, she has also written a short story for Radio 4 and contributed to several anthologies, including Girl’s Night In, in aid of the international charity WarChild.
Born and raised in Yorkshire, Alexandra lived for several years in LA before settling back in London with her Californian husband and their Bosnian rescue dog. She is currently writing her next novel, getting out into nature and navigating this thing called mid-life.
