John Ward’s planned retirement, after a successful career in hotels,
was going to be relaxing in the Caribbean for six months and spending
the rest of the year at his family home in Suffolk with his wife Jan.
Then suddenly his and his family’s world was turned upside down, when
his beautiful gentle daughter Julie, was brutally murdered whilst
photographing wildlife in Kenya.John immediately flew to Kenya, and was
faced with a wall of official obstruction. He pledged to find answers
but what he uncovered was way beyond his and his family’s worst
nightmares.
John’s manuscript is his inspirational story, in his own
words. It is one man’s relentless pursuit of Justice for his beloved
daughter, taking at times putting him in grave danger. He was forced to
fight trusted institutions in two countries, who he believes, were
trying to prevent him from finding her killer.
The story
encompasses 35 years of obstruction, sadly, not only by the Kenyans, who
years later admitted their part in a bombshell statement read out at
the UK Inquest, but helped by the British Foreign Office, MI6 and The
Met Police, who John believes, for political reasons, were all colluding
with the Kenyan authorities. Was it all because the President's son was
involved in Julie’s murder?
John’s odyssey led him all around
the world, cost him millions of pounds and his retirement. It explores
the murky world statecraft and is backed up with factual proof which
John meticulously collated, creating a library of evidence from which
basis the manuscript is written.
