Tom is an award-winning journalist currently at the Financial Times. He started his career as an adviser on political issues across Africa and later worked as a foreign correspondent in the Democratic of Congo and Kenya. He is now based in London where he reports on commodity trading and geopolitics. He has written about everything from stolen elections to sanctioned oil traders to the hunt for Africa's most wanted man. His first non-fiction book will be published by Transworld at Penguin Random House in 2027.
