Submissions

At 42, we’re always on the hunt for exciting new voices.

If we are interested in reading more of your work, we will aim to be in touch within eight weeks. We read every book submission we receive, but due to the high volume of submissions, we are only able to personally respond to the submissions we wish to pursue further.

Make sure you read our guidelines below before sending your submission. Information about the types of books our agents are looking for can be found in the Who We Are section.

Please note that we only accept submissions via email and do not consider submissions sent by post.


Guidelines:

Please send us the first three chapters of your novel or non-fiction project, as well as a full synopsis to booksubmissions@42mp.com. Manuscripts should be attached as a Word Document. In the body of the email, please write a covering letter that includes information on what kind of book you are writing (the genre and market you think it fits into), and any relevant writing experience. Do indicate which agent you are submitting to, but please check the website to make sure that they are open to enquiries. Please only submit one project at a time.

You can submit directly via email to one of our agents, and you can find out about their interests here. We have updated our submissions process, so manuscripts should only be sent to the booksubmissions@42mp.com address.

Please do alert us if other agents have requested your complete manuscript or you have an offer of representation.
